Stack Guard was invented and patented in 1999 by building and roofing contractors who developed a simple solution to two common roofing problems.
Pests have unwanted access to the inside of your house if the vent pipe is left open.
Rodents will chew the boots on the pipes, causing unseen leaks which eventually results in rotting and molding.
Install Stack Guard over your roofing vents or boots to prevent both unnecessary roofing problems.
Stack Guard is available in the following 4 colors: brown, white, gray, & black.
Brown on a shingle roof.
White on a tile roof.
Grey on a metal roof.
Black on a metal roof.
1.5” FITTING
The 1.5” fitting has a 3 1/4″ inside dimension and fits over both 1.5″ and 2″ lead boots.
3” FITTING
The 1.5” fitting has a 4 1/4″ inside dimension and fits over 3″ lead boots.
PRINTABLE INSTRUCTIONS
Installing Stack Guard is easy! Simply slide the Stack Guard over the lead boot (lead flashing). Stack Guard will fit snuggly over the boot. Use only a dab of sealant to hold it in place. Stack Guard can be installed by anyone who can safely go on the roof.
